i so love this poem by c. rossetti. the poem itself breathes and it seems that it would eventually crawl onto you and then hibernate underneath your skin. ‘you know what i mean?
i feel cold.
WHEN i am dead, my dearest,
sing no sad songs for me:
plant thou no roses at my head,
nor shady cypress tree:
be the green grass above me
with showers and dewdrops wet;
and if thou wilt, remember,
and if thou wilt, forget.
sing no sad songs for me:
plant thou no roses at my head,
nor shady cypress tree:
be the green grass above me
with showers and dewdrops wet;
and if thou wilt, remember,
and if thou wilt, forget.
i shall not see the shadows,
i shall not feel the rain;
i shall not hear the nightingale
sing on, as if in pain;
and dreaming through the twilight
that doth not rise nor set,
haply I may remember,
and haply may forget.
i shall not feel the rain;
i shall not hear the nightingale
sing on, as if in pain;
and dreaming through the twilight
that doth not rise nor set,
haply I may remember,
and haply may forget.

june

june beckons me
to get out of my cocoon
and spread
to get out of my cocoon
and spread
the metamorphosis crumbs
to the earthly ground
covered with dew and cosmic dust
to the earthly ground
covered with dew and cosmic dust
my crumbs shall stay there
until someone picks it up or
until the sun dies out
and shall be left afloat
for another cosmos
of higher intellects
taller buildings
faster motions
where each person digests
adequate and nutritious
breakfast
and knows that time is not
just a bottle to fill up but
the fourth dimension
of one’s mundane existence

three things
June 7th, 2005
one : i got a new pair of glasses ‘cos i had a presumption that my astigmatism grade got high. (i’m with my nephew - those are the new glasses) when i had it checked, my presumption was proven and is now a FACT. the optician told me that probably it was because of too much eye stress due to staying up late and then, reading and using the pc which is indubitable fact for me.
two : my week’s complete because i already saw the new video of coldplay speed of sound from their third album x&y that i have been waiting for like…eons. i could have seen it days before its airing through cp’s official site but this stupid pc and internet connection make it soooo difficult to download. anyway, i’ve seen it last sunday and their exclusive performance at the top of
the pops, too where they left the host and the audience’s jaws hanging. brilliant.
the pops, too where they left the host and the audience’s jaws hanging. brilliant. three : it was posted on cp’s official site that the release dates for x&y is june 6 for uk and june 7 for u.s. and canada and everywhere except dublin and japan and all along this is my what my mind has been believing. but i was shocked to see 4 x&y cds sitting on the ‘new arrivals’ shelf at odyssey on the night of june 4! i mean, they were there…without even my effing knowledge! oh, shucks! and i want it NOW! got to find a way to produce 420 bucks. got to find…

finally, friends!
June 2nd, 2005
the whole joligs (well, almost…kaye, where were you? you missed 1/64th of your life! ehehe) went to metrobar last saturday…finally! now, we are full-fledged…what? 18 and 17-year-olds? ehehehe.
we slept at angge’s house, everyone pitched in to finish the scrapbook that cynths should have had given to her dear marvin, laughed until 4 am, jabbered about silly things and then in the morning, for breakfast, we gobbled up anything edible that was served on the table! that’s a genuine joligs! full of appetite!
‘hope we could just always be like this and do retarded stuff (pang-bans ito. eheheh) together, right friends? (aww, shucks!)

oh, how i love enlistment and registration period…not!
…and f.y.i.,i so loved it, i must return tomorrow because i still need to get that CWTS - a required thing for my course. isn’t it awesome?
those who are studying or who have studied in state universities definitely know what the hell i am talking about.
well, the usual…you have to endure the long lines, the remorseless HOT and humid weather, the testy employees and student assistants (well, i do quite understand them. just imagine their irksome work while surrounded by hundreds of noisy students asking non-stop if there are still slots for those specific days and time on this specific subject or where their form5As have gone! it’s not easy, you know!) and of course, the exhausting building-hopping, just so you could enlist or cancel a class, and the labyrinth instructions and procedures! oh, god help us!
and then…classes starts : june 7.
